What we see on LG appliances

LG Direct Drive washing machines have the motor mounted directly on the drum. There is no belt. The faults we see are the rotor position (hall) sensor, the drum bearing, the door lock, and the main control board. Common codes include IE (not filling), OE (not draining), UE (unbalance), dE (door) and FE (overfilling). A machine that trips out on spin with a loud noise often has a worn bearing, which on some models is a larger job worth weighing against the machine’s age.

LG fridge-freezers use a linear compressor. On certain model years the linear compressor is a known weak point: a fridge that gradually stops cooling while the compressor still runs warm points straight to it. We verify the compressor and its driver board before quoting, because this repair is significant and the decision to repair or replace depends on the model and age.

LG dryers are generally dual-inverter heat-pump or condenser units; poor drying is most often a clogged heat-exchanger or condenser, which we can often restore by cleaning without parts.
